  • Gifting — Send and Receive Gold or Silver with Friends

    The Gifting feature lets you send personalized gold or silver gifts to your friends and loved ones safely within the app. Follow these simple steps to get started.

    This article contains the following sections:

    Set Up Your Avatar and Gifting Profile

    • Start by tapping on your avatar to begin the setup.

    • You’ll see a friendly greeting screen such as “Hey Kate!” inviting you to personalize your gifting experience.

    • Once completed, you’ll unlock the option to send personalized gold or silver gifts to your friends.

    Access the Gifting Dashboard

    • Go to the Gifting section from the main menu.

    • Here you can view:

      • Your monthly gifting limit (e.g., AED 3,000)

      • Remaining balance

      • Details of your Metal Reserve (Gold/Silver)

      • A section for Gift Activity

    If your account setup isn’t complete, tap “Continue Setup” to finish it.

    Find and Connect with Friends

    • Tap “Find a Friend” to select someone from your contact list or app friends.

    • Use the search bar to locate your friend by name or phone number.

    • You can Invite new friends or Select existing ones to connect.

    Before sending or receiving gifts, both users need to confirm they know each other:

    • Tap “Let’s Connect” to send a connection request.

    • Your friend will receive a notification asking them to confirm the connection.

    • Once confirmed, you’ll see a “Connection Confirmed” success screen.

    Sending a Gift

    • After the connection is confirmed, choose Send Gift.

    • Select your friend’s name (e.g., Layla Al-Mansoori).

    • Pick the metal type — Gold or Silver.

    • Adjust the gift value (grams) using the slider.

    • The app will display the live price per gram and a price breakdown, including:

      • Subtotal

      • Quantity

      • Price per gram

      • Fee

      • Total amount to pay

    Tap Continue to proceed.

    Personalize Your Gift

    • Add a personal message (optional) for special occasions such as Birthday, Anniversary, or Wedding.

    • Example:
      “Happy Birthday! Here’s a timeless gift of gold to make your special day shine even brighter.”

    • Review the summary of your gift and confirm the payment using your saved card.

    Gifting – Summary

    Before sending your personalized gift, a summary screen is displayed to review all details.

    • Recipient: Displays the name of the person receiving the gift.

    • Personalization: Indicates whether the gift includes a personal message.

    • Gold to Send: Shows the amount of gold being gifted (e.g., 2.00g).

    • Gold Price: Reflects the current market rate (e.g., 260.00 AED/g).

    • Gold Value: Calculates the total value based on the selected gold amount.

    • Fee Source: Displays the payment method used to cover the transaction fee (e.g., Visa ****1234). You can tap Change to switch payment options.

    • Fee: Shows the applicable service charge (e.g., 15.00 AED).

    After reviewing, tap Confirm to proceed.

    • If paying from gold balance, it shows: “Deducted from your Gold Balance.”

    • If using a card, it shows: “Charged from your payment method.”

    Upon successful completion, you’re rewarded with +25 XP 🎉
    A message appears:

    “You have got +25 XP for sharing your first gift and making someone’s day brighter!”

    Tap Collect to finalize and add the XP to your account.

    Track Your Gifting Activity

    • Return to the Gifting Dashboard to monitor:

      • Sent and received gifts

      • Remaining gifting allowance

      • Updated gold/silver balance with live prices

    This keeps your gifting organized, transparent, and rewarding!

    Gift Notification and Delivery

    • The recipient will receive a push notification (e.g., “New gift from Kate Smith 🎁”).

    • Opening the notification leads to a screen with a treasure chest animation —
      inviting them to “Open your gift to see what’s inside!”

    Reveal and Save Your Gift

    • As the treasure chest opens, it reveals your gold or silver bars — along with your personal message.

    • The recipient can:

      • View gift details (sender, type, amount, date/time)

      • Share the moment with friends

      • Save the gift to balance, which updates their Metal Reserve instantly.

    Summary

    Gifting makes it easy to celebrate and share precious metals with your friends securely. Whether it’s for birthdays, anniversaries, or special milestones, sending gold or silver through the app adds a touch of warmth and value to every occasion.
