Your OGold Prepaid Card comes with an expiration date to maintain the security and integrity of your card services. This guide explains how the expiration process works, what reminders you’ll receive, and how to avoid interruptions in service.

Expiration Notifications & What They Mean
To ensure a smooth transition to your new card, OGold will send multiple in-app reminders before your card expires. Each reminder includes clear instructions on what to do next.
30 Days Before Expiry
Notification:
“Your card ****8743 expires in 30 days. Request replacement to avoid service interruptions.”
Action:
Tap Replace Card to start the replacement process early.
Your current card remains active and usable until the expiry date.
14 Days Before Expiry
Notification:
“Your card ****8743 expires in 14 days. Request replacement to avoid service interruptions.”
Action:
Replace your card as soon as possible to ensure on-time delivery before expiry.
You can continue using your current card while waiting for the replacement.
7 Days Before Expiry
Notification:
“Your card ****8743 expires in 7 days. Request replacement to avoid service interruptions.”
Action:
Your card is still active, but time is running out.
Tap Replace Card immediately to prevent any service gap.
Card Expired
Notification:
“Card expired. Your card ending in ****8743 has expired. Open a new one to keep using our services.”
Status:
The card is no longer usable.
Balance will show as 0.00 AED, and card details will appear greyed out.
All transactions will be blocked until a new card is issued.
Action:
Tap Open New Card to request a replacement.
You’ll regain access to your funds once the new card is activated.
