Goals – Cancel Goal

The Cancel Goal feature allows you to permanently stop a savings goal that you no longer wish to continue. When a goal is cancelled, you can transfer the saved amount to another active goal or move it to your OGold Wallet. Please note that this action is irreversible — once cancelled, the goal cannot be restored.

Accessing the Cancel Goal Option

1. Open your active goal (e.g., Money for New Car).

2. Tap the menu (⋮) icon on the top-right corner of the screen.

3. From the pop-up menu, select Manage Goal.

4. You’ll see two options:

   • Pause Goal

   • Cancel Goal Permanently

5. Tap Cancel Goal to proceed.

Confirming Cancellation

Once selected, a confirmation screen will appear:

“Are you sure you want to cancel the goal ‘Money for New Car’? This action is permanent, and you will not be able to restore this goal!”

To continue, tap Cancel Goal Permanent.

Managing Funds Before Cancellation

Before completing the cancellation, you’ll be prompted to transfer your existing savings.
Select where you want your funds to go:

• Transfer to Another Goal: Move your saved amount to any other active goal.

• OGold Wallet: Move your funds back to your OGold Wallet for future use.

After choosing an option, tap Continue.

Transferring Funds

If you selected Transfer to Another Goal:

1. Choose from your list of active goals.

2. Confirm your selection by tapping Transfer Funds.

3. A confirmation message appears:

   Funds transferred successfully
   Your goal has been cancelled

Once the transfer completes, your cancelled goal will be removed from the active goals list and displayed under the Cancelled tab in your Goals overview.

Post-Cancellation View

After the goal is cancelled:

• The goal progress bar becomes inactive.

• The title remains visible for record purposes.

• Transaction history (e.g., top-ups and transfers) stays accessible under View more transactions.

Your funds are securely transferred to the selected destination (another goal or your wallet), ensuring no balance is lost during the process.

Summary

The Cancel Goal feature offers flexibility to end a savings plan that no longer fits your priorities. Before confirming, you can easily transfer your savings to another goal or your OGold Wallet. Once cancelled, the goal and its milestones are permanently closed, but your funds remain safe and accessible for future plans.
