Deleting a Primary Address – Ogold

The Address Management feature allows you to add, edit, and delete saved delivery addresses within your profile. However, when deleting a Primary Address, an extra confirmation step ensures that you always have a valid delivery location set.

This article explains the deletion flow for removing your primary address safely.

Navigate to Manage Address

From your Profile → Delivery Addresses, you’ll see a list of all saved addresses divided into two sections:

My Address – Your personal and primary addresses
Other Address – Addresses for trusted recipients or secondary locations

Tap on the address you want to remove to open the Manage Address screen.

Open the Primary Address Details

When you open your Primary Address, the top of the screen displays its label (e.g., 🏢 Office Address), followed by address details such as:

Full Name
Phone Number
Country
City
Area/Street
Building/Villa No.
Apartment/Unit No. (optional)
PO Box (optional)

At the bottom, you’ll find the Delete Address button.

Tap “Delete Address”

When you choose to delete your Primary Address, a confirmation flow begins to prevent accidental removal.

Upon tapping Delete Address, a message appears:

“Delete This Delivery Address?”
Are you sure you want to delete your Primary address? You won’t be able to use it for deliveries anymore.

To continue, tap Continue.

Choose a New Primary Address

Before deleting your current primary address, the system will prompt you to select another address as your new Primary.

You’ll see a list of your saved addresses with radio buttons:

🪑 My Home — Bldg 8, Bay Square, Dubai, UAE
📍 Abu Dhabi, Corniche Road — Unit 12, Bldg 12, Abu Dhabi, UAE, 112233

Actions:

Select the address you’d like to set as your new Primary Address.
Tap Confirm and Delete to complete the process.

If no alternative address is selected, the Confirm and Delete button remains inactive.

Deletion Completed

Once confirmed, your previous primary address will be deleted, and the selected address will automatically be marked as Primary.

You’ll then be redirected back to the Delivery Addresses screen, where you can see your updated list:

🏢 Office Address — Deleted
🪑 My Home — Now Primary
📍 Abu Dhabi, Corniche Road — Secondary

Notes:

You cannot delete your Primary Address without assigning another address as primary.
If you only have one address saved, deletion will be restricted until you add another.
Deleting a primary address permanently removes it from your saved list.
