The Legacy Contact feature allows you to designate a trusted person who can manage or close your OGOLD account if you become inactive for an extended period or in the event of your death. Adding a Legacy Contact ensures that your account and assets remain secure and accessible to someone you trust.
Access the Legacy Contact Option
Go to Account & Security from your profile menu.
Tap Legacy & Inactivity.
Select Add Legacy Contact to begin.
You’ll see a reminder to use official details, ensuring all information matches the contact’s legal identity.
Use official details
Enter your Legacy Contact’s legal name and reachable phone or email. We may verify this information with their ID.
Enter Contact Details
Fill in the required details on the Add Legacy Contact screen:
Legacy Full Name
Enter your contact’s complete legal name (e.g., Layla Al-Mansoori).
Relationship to You
Choose your relationship from the available list:
Spouse / Partner
Child / Stepchild
Parent
Sibling
Grandparent
Grandchild
Legal Guardian / Caregiver
Executor of Will
Trustee
Business Partner
Co-owner of Assets
Other Relative
Non-relative Trusted Contact
Other
If you select Other, a new field will appear titled Specify Relationship — where you can manually define your connection (e.g., Professional Fiduciary).
Provide Contact Method
Choose one way to reach your Legacy Contact:
Phone number
Email address
If you select Phone number, enter the country code and the full mobile number.
If you select Email address, type in a valid email your contact actively uses.
Authorization Consent
At the bottom of the screen, check the box to authorize OGOLD:
“I authorize OGOLD to transfer my account to this person in the event of my death or long-term inactivity.”
This confirmation ensures that OGOLD can securely initiate the legacy management process if your account becomes inactive.
Once all fields are completed, tap Continue to proceed.
Verify Legacy Contact
To confirm your contact’s phone number, OGOLD sends a 4-digit verification code to the selected number.
Enter the 4-digit code on the Verify Phone screen.
Tap Verify Phone Number to confirm.
If your contact didn’t receive the code:
Tap Resend code, or
Choose Get it via WhatsApp for a faster delivery option.
A countdown timer shows when you can resend a code.
Once verified, a green confirmation banner appears:
Phone number has been verified
Review Legacy Contact Info
After successful verification, the contact appears in your Legacy & Inactivity section as your Trusted Contact.
You can tap on their name to view their profile details:

Date of birth: 15 April 1987

Status: ✅ Verified
You can also remove them anytime by tapping Delete Trusted Contact.
Notes
Always provide accurate and verifiable information for your Legacy Contact.
Only one Legacy Contact can be assigned to your account at a time.
Your Legacy Contact will only be notified after 12 months of account inactivity.
OGOLD may request identification for verification and security purposes.
You can update or delete your contact anytime under the Legacy & Inactivity section.
